A typical day for a priest is hard to explain, because the only constant in a priest's life is the Mass...
After that, the priest may have a sick call, may have to work with the altar servers, may have to do a Baptism, may have to do a marriage, may have to do a funeral, may have to do a Wake, may have to visit the school, may have to meet with the youth group, may have to do all of that, a few of that, or he may have time to pray. For, a priest's life is not a job, but his vocation and so he is, in essence, always on call, and must be ready to be available at any time of the day or night, because a priest does not have a 9-5 job, his priesthood is his vocation, his priesthood is the very essence of his life. Incidentally, this is why a priest takes a day off during the week, because of the fact that since he does not have the same hours as everyone else, he needs a day to get away and to relax.
Our own Fr. Brian Quinn has graciously offered his time, his parish and the people he comes in contact with in order to complement our day in the life of a seminarian with a day in the life of a priest. (COMING SOON)
